From the top of the towers
To the streets that used to be merry
There’s a scent in the air that lingers on
And the urge to walk the contrary
There was music wherever you go
And smiles at every corner
But now we search so far in our own atmosphere
In this wasteland brought by disorder
This didn’t go according to plan
But I pretend I intend to stay here again
And make the best of this while I stay patient
‘Cos closing time won’t ruin this celebration
It’s another lonely winter
I know better than have it last this long
I could hold on a little more
And trust the world will follow
If it means the hope that embrace will arrive
Won’t seem meaningless or hollow
It’ll take some time to not lose some sleep
As the snow comes down and the days go slow
We can still stay together though far and wide
And not make our time so cold
